India’s coal production in Jan-Aug’22 increased by 14% to 579 mnt from 508 mnt in Jan-Aug’21. Coking coal production increased by 29% in Jan-Aug’22 to 40 mnt from 31 mnt in Jan-Aug’21. Non-coking coal production increased by 13% in Jan-Aug’22 to 540 mnt from 477 mnt in Jan-Aug’21.
