India’s coal production touched 715.95 mn t in FY ’21-slipping 2.04% from over 730 mn t in FY ’20. Production by state-owned miner Coal India Ltd (CIL) tanked 0.96% to 596.25 mn t compared to a little more than 602 mn t in the preceding fiscal. Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) produced 50.58 mn t in FY ’21 with a negative growth of over 21%, as per provisional data provided by the Ministry of Coal.
