India’s coal imports in Mar’22 likely to touch 9-month high

India’s coal imports are seen reaching their highest level in nine-month to 21-22 mn t in Mar’22, CoalMint vessel data reveals. Thermal coal shipments are expected to be at 15.8 mnt while coking coal is at 4.7 mnt. Shipments from Indonesia are likely to be the highest at 10.4 mnt, up 144% m-o-m, followed by Australia at 4.8 mnt, up 2%, and South African at 2.8 mnt, up 21% m-o-m.
