INDIA:Pellet prices in Odisha move up on production cut by major producer

Iron pellet prices in Odisha, (India's second largest pellet producing state) have gone up by Rs 200 per tonne on planned production cut by major producer in the state, said industry sources.

“Prices have moved up by Rs 200/t and current offers stand at around Rs 7,700-7,800/t (63% Fe, Loaded to wagons, Barbil,Odisha).Prices have not gone up on improved demand but due to production cut by one of the major pellet producer next month.

Pellet demand still remains subdued on improved supply of iron ore.” said a trader based in Odisha.

Prices in southern part of the country remained stable at Rs 7,200/t (Ex wrk). Where as manufacturers in Gujarat claim to have imported pellet offers from Brazil at $135/t CFR.
