Steel Mint Indian Scrap
Index fall by 0.11 points (0.12 percent) after slight uplift from 87.75 points last week’s end on lower buying
interest and reached to 88.28 points on Tuesday.
Northern India including Ludhiana faces shortage of imported
scrap but demand weakens further thus maintaining continuity in prices. In the North-West
province of India prices fall by Rs 200/MT.
In Southern India, week demands leads to hold in
scrap prices prevailing at Rs.23500/MT as of Chennai.
