Secondary wire rod manufacturers in Raipur and Durgapur kept offers almost unchanged W-o-W, offers bulk discount in Raipur.
Despite low trade activities heard during previous week in the Indian secondary wire market, wire rod manufacturers based in Raipur and Durgapur had kept offers more or less unchanged in the same time.
In addition, in order to push sales, almost all wire rod manufacturers mainly based in Raipur were also offered discount by upto INR 1,000/MT last week, depending on the quantity of material lifting, as per market sources.
Upon this downstream industry like binding wire, GI wire and barbed wire are also not very supportive as demand is slow owing to ongoing monsoon season.
In Durgapur, wire rod 5.5 mm and HB 12G are available at INR 23,400/MT and INR 25,100/MT respectively. Similarly, plants in Raipur are offering the same grade material at INR 24,800/MT and INR 26,800/MT respectively. Prices are basic.
Offers for 12G GI and 12G barbed wires are assessed at INR 34,500/MT (-300) and INR 37,000/MT (-300) in Raipur. All prices are basic.
