Indian Structure Prices surge upto INR 500/MT in a week’s time

Structure prices moved up in a week’s time owing to costlier Ingot/Billet. Expectation of price reduction is very less in this week.

Increased Ingot/Billet prices resulted in price hike of Structure. In a week’s time, Structure offers hiked upto INR 500/MT.  Structure prices are on 6 months level best, but demand is not as increased as compared to prices.

Mandi Gobindgarh registered highest price gain. Structure prices up by INR 400-500/MT during the week. Meanwhile, Ingot/Billet offers increased by INR 300-400/MT. Ghaziabad offers also improved marginally by INR 100/MT.

A trader based in Mandi Gobindgarh said, “Prices may reduce next week as demand is not good and Ingot prices are expected to fall.”

On the other side, new gauge difference pushed up prices in various sizes in Raipur. However, demand is stable and expected to remain unchanged for this week.

In Durgapur, Structure prices moved up by INR 300/MT W-o-W. Increased demand from Assam & Bihar supports improved prices. Manufacturers anticipate that prices will be more or less same for this week.

At the same time, Hyderabad & Mumbai’s structure manufacturers kept their offers unchanged.  Prices remain unchanged due to stability in demand.
