Indian Structure Prices Decline in Week 39

Structure prices across major markets have declined by INR 200-500/MT for all grades. However, central and south markets have remained almost stable acoss all grades. The major factor of price correction is persistent decline in domestic ingot prices.

Light and heavy structure prices in West Indian market like Ahemdabad have fallen sharply by INR 500/MT as ingot prices in the state declined by INR 350/MT in a week.

Other markets such as Durgapur and Mumbai fell INR 200/MT in a week’s time.

Current 100*100 angle price movements in domestic market are – Raipur at INR 27,300/MT, Duragpur at INR 29,300/MT and Hyderabad at INR 29,500/MT.

Heavy structure, 200*100 beam is offered in Gaziabad at INR 31,000/MT and Raipur at INR 27,300/MT.

It is to be noted that RINL has floated an export tender for 12,000 MT structures. The tender is to open on 9 Oct’15 for ASEAN, African and Middle East Countries for 6,000 MT angle and 6,000 MT channel.
