Strong sentiments prevailing in Indian steel market coupled with improvement in demand has supported Indian structure market this week. Prices have increased sharply by INR 500-1,100/MT W-o-W. Trade discount in Raipur is heard at INR 300-500/MT at the quoted price.
Major price rise of INR 1,100/MT was seen in Raipur, followed by Mumbai (+950) and Durgapur (+600).
Moreover, 125×125 mm billet prices also jumped up by INR 900-1,300/MT this week and currently evaluated at INR 20,750-22,200/MT.
Current 100×100 mm angle offers are assessed at INR 24,700/MT (+600) in Durgapur, INR 24,800/MT (+300) in Ahmedabad, INR 24,600/MT (+550) in Raipur and INR 25,500/MT (+500) in Hyderabad.
200×75 mm channel and 200×100 mm beam in Ghaziabad are being offered at INR 27,700/MT and INR 27,200/MT respectively; have moved up by INR 200/MT
Meanwhile, the same size channel offers in Durgapur are assessed at INR 24,100/MT (+200), INR 25,000/MT (+300) in Ahmedabad, INR 24,100/MT (+550) in Raipur and INR 27,100/MT (+950) in Mumbai.
