Indian Structure Offers Tumble on Less Inquiries

The Indian structure manufacturers are reluctant to cut prices over less inquiries and sharp fall in billet prices.

In a week duration, domestic light & heavy structure offers tumble by INR 700/MT; major price fall has seen in Ahmedabad.

Meanwhile, billet (125×125 mm) prices have slumped by INR 100-900/MT across major Indian markets.

Heavy beam (200×100 mm) in Ghaziabad have dipped by INR 500/MT. Persistent sluggish trends and prolong dwindling demand have led to sharp fall in structure offers.

Western(Mumbai) India based structure makers reduced offers for angle, beam and channel of all sizes by INR 200/MT and manufacturers in Eastern(Durgapur) & Southern (Hyderabad) parts have followed the suit with reduction of INR 500/MT.

Offers have been corrected by INR 200/MT in heavy structure and by INR 100/MT in light structure in Central India and trade discount heard at INR 200-400/MT in heavy structure.

At the same time, 100×100 mm angle and 200×75 mm channel are assessed in Durgapur at INR 31,750/MT and at INR 30,750/MT respectively.
