Following sharp recovery in billet market, secondary structure manufacturers have increased prices sharply across major markets by INR 500-1,100/MT W-o-W for all grades. Major price hike is seen in Mumbai (+1,120) and Raipur (+800), followed by Durgapur (+500) and Ahmedabad (+400) in a week. However, south market remained stable in the duration.
In the meantime, raw material i.e billet prices have risen by INR 900-1,650/MT W-o-W on account of expected imposition of MIP on steel products and improved buying activities.
Current 100*100 mm angle price movements across major markets are – Durgapur at INR 27,100/MT, Raipur at INR 25,800/MT and Hyderabad at INR 27,800/MT. Meanwhile, 40*40 mm angle is being offered at INR 27,900/MT in Ahmedabad and INR 28,600/MT in Mumbai.
Heavy structure, 200*100 beam is available in Gaziabad at INR 28,400/MT (+300) and Raipur at INR 25,800/MT (+800). And, offers for 200*75 mm channel are assessed at INR 27,100/MT in Durgapur, INR 26,300/MT in Raipur and INR 29,300/MT in Mumbai.
