Domestic structure prices remained almost firm with minor fluctuations of INR 200-300/MT acoss major markets. Prices of heavy and light structures like angle, channel and beam in central India declined by INR 200-500/MT across all sizes in this week. However, prices in Durgapur rose by INR 200/MT for all grades.
In Ahmedabad, structure prices remained stable in week 38.
The major reason behind structure price fluctuations is volatility in MS ingot/billet market. However, in a week’s time, billet prices rose sharply by INR 400-600/MT.
Current 100*100 angle prices movement in domestic market are – Raipur at INR 27,500/MT (-200), Duragpur at INR 29,500/MT (+200) and Hyderabad at INR 29,500/MT (-500).
Heavy structure, 200*100 beam is offered in Gaziabad at INR 31,400/MT ( +200) and Raipur at INR 27,500/MT (-200).
It is to be noted that RINL’s export tender for 12,000 MT structures is going to expire on 24 Sept’15.
