Indian steel mills book 90,000 t imported iron ore lumps on tight domestic supplies

Western India based steel mills have recently booked a 90,000 t iron ore lump vessel from South Africa, sources have reported SteelMint. The vessel has been booked around $130/t CFR for end Dec/early Jan arrival, as per sources report to SteelMint. With rising domestic iron ore and pellet prices, imported lump inquiries have picked up. Domestic pellet offers stand at INR 10,350/t DAP Kandla.
