An east India-based steel manufacturer concluded a deal of around 30,000 t HRC to Vietnam by the end of last week at $475/t CFR basis. The booking is for end-Aug/early-Sep shipment, SteelMint learned from its channels.
A South India-based mill booked around 10,000 t HRC to Vietnam at around $475/t, though this deal could not be immediately confirmed by Steelmint.
Last week, Indian mills raised their export offers by $10-15/t on account of improved domestic and export demand.
Chinese HRC export offer remains stable- Chinese HRC export offers were stable at around $485/t CFR last week. Demand for Chinese HRC was dull in Vietnam as domestic steel mill Formosa is offering HRC at lower prices.
Formosa Ha Tinh (FHS) also booked an order for delivery of 1,00,000t HRC to China at USD 472-475/t CFR basis for early Sep’20 shipment last week. Vietnam’s HRC sale to China is the first-ever such transaction.
Russia resumes its HRC offers to Vietnam- Russia based MMK steel has resumed its HRC export offers to Vietnam for Aug-Sep shipments and offering at $465/t CFR basis.
Japan & Korean mills raise HRC offers to Vietnam- Japan’s Nippon Steel, and South Korea’s Hyundai Steel have lifted their HRC offers to Vietnam by $5-10/t and are offering at $480/t CFR .
