Major private steelmaker based in western Indian recently reported to have booked around 30,000 t HRC t to UAE at $985-990/t CFR basis for Jun shipments, SteelMint learned from its authentic trade channels. Indian mills have shifted their focus to exports on higher price realizations and improved demand in the global market. SteelMint’s Indian HRC (SAE 1006) export weekly index has moved up by $9/t w-o-w.
