Sponge Iron prices in India has seen
an upward trend on account of rising steel prices. Most of the markets have
seen a rise in price by Rs. 200-300/t.
Raipur Sponge Iron prices is trading
at Rs. 24,400-500/t whereas big manufacturers are quoting their prices at around Rs. 24,800/t. Sponge
Iron prices in Rourkela are hovering around Rs. 23,000/t and that of Raigarh is
seen to trade at Rs. 23,500/t.
Miners in the state of Odisha have
increased their Iron Ore lumps prices by Rs. 500/t. Prices are likely to remain
unchanged due to the unavailability of raw material Iron Ore and rising prices
of scrap in the International market.
