Indian sponge iron export offers remain stable in recent deals

SteelMint’s benchmark sponge iron export price assessment remained stable this week. A deal of about 10,000 t was reported at the beginning of the week at a firm price range of $370-375/t CPT Benapole (equivalent to $385-390/t CFR Chittagong). However, it is also learned that major Bangladeshi buyers are now full with orders and fresh bulk deals are unlikely to be seen for the near-term along with volatility in prices in Indian domestic market.
