Sponge iron export prices continued to rally owing to gains in domestic market. This week export offers moved up by $30/t to $310/t CPT Benapole (equivalent to $330/t CFR Chittagong). However no fresh deals or firm bids were reported at revised offers as buyers are not taking positions, looking at such sharp price hike. Domestic offers in India rose by INR 2,000-2,500/t ($26-33), w-o-w.
