Sponge iron export offers to Bangladesh fell further on limited demand and falling global scrap prices. Fresh deals of about 7,000 t were confirmed at $355/t, while last week offers were hovering at around $360/t CPT Benapole; (equivalent to $375/t CFR Chittagong Bangladesh). According to market sources, sponge iron prices are likely to remain under pressure amid improved availability and softening raw materials & scrap prices.
