Indian Silico Manganese prices unchanged from the previous week

Indian Silico Manganese market stable as no major change witnessed in buying sentiment revealed sources. Current offers for Silico Manganese 60/15 with phos content of 0.35% max in Raipur and Raigarh stand at Rs 54,500–55,000/t (Ex-Works). In Durgapur offers for Silico Manganese 60/14 vary in the range of Rs 54,000–55,000/MT, “enquiries and deals were generally sparse”, revealed a broker from the region. 

A distributor reported to SteelMint that TATA’s branded Silico Manganese 60/15 Silicomag is being offered at Rs 55,500 /MT. SteelMint received mixed response, with some Ferro Alloy producers describing domestic demand as 'good', others as 'so-so'.

Export offers for Silico Manganese are static. With export demand remaining weak, Indian sellers have been determining their offers according to Indian domestic prices and demand. “Our domestic sales are alright and doing better than exports”, said a company official from one of the largest Ferro Alloy producers based in Raipur. Silico Manganese 65/16 is being offered at $1080-1100 /MT FoB East-Coast India (P – 0.25% max.).
