Indian Secondary Structure Market Reports Mixed Price Sentiments

This week, domestic secondary structure manufacturers have kept their offers unaltered in east and south regions, whereas, have reported a steep price corrections of INR 400-800/MT in west and central India.

Persistent bearishness prevailing in structure trade market has resulted in sharp price corrections. Besides, it is heard from sources that heavy structure manufacturers based in Raipur are offering discount on all grade structural products.

As per the sources, few manufacturers in the region are offering discount in 3 categories; INR 200-400/MT for 1^st category (100-150 mm beam, 175-300 mm channel & 350-600 mm angle), INR 300-600/MT for 2^nd (75-150 mm beam, 175-250 mm channel & 300-400 mm angle) and INR 600-900/MT for 3^rd (75-110 mm beam, 130-150 mm channel & 200 mm angle).

Currently, 125*125 mm billet prices are assessed in the range of INR 21,600-25,350/MT; have remained stable today.

Meanwhile, 100*100 mm angle is available at INR 28,500/MT in Durgapur, INR 28,000/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 25,600/MT in Raipur and INR 29,000/MT in Hyderabad.

200*75 mm channel and 200*100 mm beam in Ghaziabad are offered at INR 30,100/MT and INR 29,600/MT, registering a price rise of INR 100/MT W-o-W.

The same size channel offers in Durgapur are assessed at INR 28,500/MT, INR 28,200/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 29,300/MT in Mumbai and INR 25,900/MT in Raipur.
