Indian Secondary Structure Market Moves Down, Except in East

Viewing the limited buying interest among buyers, domestic secondary structure makers have descended their offers by INR 100-500/MT W-o-W. However, eastern region based manufacturers have balanced prices at the same level as a week earlier.

South market, especially Hyderabad has witnessed major price corrections of INR 500/MT W-o-W for all grade structure, including channel and beam. Now, 100*100 angle offers in Hyderabad are evaluated at INR 29,000/MT.

In the meantime, the same grade angle is available at INR 28,500/MT in Durgapur, INR 28,400/MT in Ahmedabad and INR 26,300/MT in Raipur.

200*75 mm channel and 200*100 mm beam in Ghaziabad are offered at INR 30,000/MT and INR 29,500/MT, registering INR 200/MT price correction in a week.

However today, 125*125 mm MS billet offers have moved up by INR 100-500/MT in domestic market, hovering within INR 22,000-25,800/MT.

Angle gauge difference in central India widens by INR 200/MT

Indian secondary light structure makers have increased angle gauge difference in Raipur (central India) by INR 200/MT from 13 Apr’16, viewing the low conversion cost.

Now, the current gauge parity for all light structure angle is hovering in the range of INR 600-2,200/MT, which was earlier within INR 400-,2000/MT. However, gauge difference has remained basic for 55*55 angle.

Raipur based a light structure manufacturer reported, “Buying has slowed down slightly post increase of INR 200/MT in gauge parity.”
