In central India, structure prices have moved up steeply by INR 900-1,000/MT amid 20% hike in power charges and increase in VAT to 5%. Besides in other markets, prices have jumped up by INR 200-800/MT.
Alike central India, heavy & light structure offers in south India have boosted up by INR 800/MT; followed by west India (+700).
Today, 125*125 mm billet prices in central and south India have also upsurged by INR 600/MT and INR 500/MT respectively; hovering within INR 21,900-26,200/MT.
Presently, 100*100 mm angle is available at INR 27,900/MT in Durgapur, INR 28,700/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 26,800/MT in Raipur and INR 29,800/MT in Hyderabad.
In the meantime, 200*75 mm channel and 200*100 mm beam in Ghaziabad are offered at INR 30,200/MT and INR 29,700/MT, registering a hike of INR 400/MT for both the material.
The same size channel offers in Durgapur are assessed at INR 27,900/MT, INR 28,900/MT in Ahmedabad, INR 29,500/MT in Mumbai and INR 27,300/MT in Raipur.
