Domestic IF-route rebar prices increased further by INR 300-1,100/t across major markets on 27 Jan’22. The sharp rise in prices of steel billet and sponge iron provides support to rebar producers to strengthen the prices even as buying enquiries and transactions remain moderate in the spot market due to higher prices.
