Indian Rebar Manufactures Reduce Prices by INR 100-400/MT D-o-D

The rebar manufacturers in Indian domestic market on 3rd March’17 have cut prices by INR 100-400/MT.

After rigorous rise in prices for 15 days in line with increase demand, today rebar has seen a fall in the prices.

The 12 mm rebar offer prices in major markets are assessed at INR 29,000/MT(-100) ex-Raipur, INR 31,700/MT (-50 ) in Delhi, INR 27,900/MT (-50) in Durgapur, INR 29,500/MT(-400) ex-Jalna, INR 31,900./MT(0) ex-Bangalore & INR 30,000/MT (-250) ex-Hyderabad. Price are basic and changes mentioned are on day on day (against last day) trade basis.

As stated by a market participants based in Maharashtra, reason for the fall in the prices due to lack of demand in the local market which is influencing the manufacturers and traders to either decrease the prices or keep the prices firm.

The rebar manufacturers in East India commented on the slight fall in prices that,”trader segment inquiries are less as buyers are hesitating to book material and are in wait and watch mode.”
