Indian Re-bar secondary manufacturers, who contributes to a major share of steel production, have continued to raise their offers over last one week on improved demand and rising raw material prices.
Prices have moved up by almost Rs 1,000 per ton in last one week, current offers for 20mm re-bar stands at around Rs 33,500/t (Ex-Works, Raipur). Apart from central India prices have also moved in other parts of the country by almost Rs 700-1000 per ton.
” There has been some demand from southern region after power prices have gone up. Also price hike by primary players have supported increased prices”, said a re-bar manufacturer based in Central India.
