Indian Railways raise freight rates on iron ore by Rs 100/MT

The Indian railways have raised freight rates on iron ore meant for exports by Rs 100/MT to 1,600 rupees, effective from Thursday i.e. March 03, 2011..*

 

The announcement came after India hiked export duty on fines and lumps to 20% in its annual budget for the year 2011-12.
