The Indian Railways has created a new record in the sale of scrap. The Railways earned INR 4,573 crore through sale of scrap during financial year 2020-21, which is 5.5% higher compared to financial year 2019-20. In the previous fiscal, the Railways had earned INR 4,333 crore. The previous best earning by the Railways was INR 4,409 crore in 2009-10.
