Primary rebar producers have maintained their offers stable. Also, price gap between primary and secondary producers now stands within INR 4,000-5,000/MT.
Indian primary rebar producers like SAIL and RINL have continued to hold their offers, which were in the starting of current month as reported by the dealer/ distributors in major markets.
On the basis of location, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) decreased rebar offers a few days back by INR 500/MT in north India and in dealer segment too.
However, there is no major buying took place at current offers as traders/stockist had already maintained inventory earlier, which they are facing difficultly to sell in domestic market.
Presently, SAIL is offering 12-32 mm rebar at around INR 35,000-35,600/MT (excise duty included, VAT/CST extra) for Delhi/NCR. While, secondary rebar producers are offering the material in the range of INR 30,500-31,000/MT, depending on the brand of same size in the same location.
Besides, few leading rebar producers are also offering 12-32 mm rebar at around INR 36,000-36,500/MT (excise duty included, VAT/CST extra) for Chennai market. While, secondary producers are offering at around INR 31,000-31,500/MT, depending on the brand for the same size material in the same location.
