Price gap between primary and secondary rebar producers in Delhi and Bangalore is within INR 3,500-4,000/MT and INR 1,400-1,600/MT respectively.
Indian primary rebar producers have continued to operate at offers, which were in the starting of current month.
Leading steel producers like SAIL and RINL have increased prices for both rebar and wire rod by INR 1,000/MT and INR 2,000/MT respectively in starting of Apr’16.
Presently, SAIL is offering for 12-32 mm rebar at around INR 35,500/MT (excise duty included, VAT/CST extra) in project for Delhi/NCR and secondary rebar producers are offering in the range of INR 31,500-32,000/MT, depending on the brand for 12-25 mm in the same location.
Similarly, one of the leading rebar producers based in south India is currently offering for 12-32 mm rebar at around INR 35,000/MT (excise duty included, VAT/CST extra) in project sales in Karnataka region. And, secondary producers are offering at around INR 33,600-33,800/MT, depending on the brand for 10-25 mm in Bangalore.
