Indian pipe mill books 20,000 t API grade HR plates from South Korea

An Indian pipe mill has recently booked 20,000 tonnes (t) of X65 API sour plates from South Korea to be supplied in Barossa project (300 kilometres north-west of Darwin), sources informed SteelMint. The deal is concluded at above $1,500/t CFR Kandla basis. Notably, on 25 April, Welspun Corp had secured a major export order from South East Asia for supplying 55,000 t of pipes for a critical offshore application.
