Indian pig iron producer concludes 40,000 t export deal for China

One of the major pig iron producers and suppliers in India, has recently concluded an export tender for around 40,000 t pig iron for Apr ’21 shipment, SteelMint learnt from trade sources. The deal was heard to have concluded around $540-545/t CFR China. Vessel freight rate from India to China has increased to $40. India’s pig iron export shipments were recorded at 60,000 t in Feb ’21 lower than 85,000 t in Jan ’21, according to vessel line up data maintained with SteelMint.
