Indian Pig Iron prices
remain unchanged ahead of budget 2012. Last week, Neelanchal Ispat (NINL), Cuttack
had surprisingly cut its Steel Grade Pig Iron prices by Rs. 600/t to Rs.
24,700/t (Ex Works), where as other manufacturers offers were higher by Rs. 500 – 1,000/t for the same grade.
” We have
to observe market for another couple of days for any changes. Neelachal Ispat Nigam
Limited (NINL) will not change its prices till the 15th of this month, looking
forward to the upcoming budget. Market players anticipate prices to rise up
post budget,” said a Jharsuguda based manufacturer.
Raipur Pig Iron prices is seen to be trading at Rs. 28,200/MT (Ex Works) with
an increase of Rs. 200/MT and that of Jharsuguda is trading at Rs. 26,000/MT (Ex
Works) with a reduction of Rs. 100/MT.
Ludhiana Pig Iron prices are trading at Rs. 34,200/MT (Including All) whereas
Jalandhar prices are hovering around Rs. 33,600/MT (Including All) with a
decrease of Rs. 100/MT.
