Indian pig iron prices kept unchanged on steady demand and rising input cost.
“Pig Iron Steel Grade prices in Raipur remain same at Rs
28,100/MT (Basic price). We do not expect any correction in prices as demand is
decent,” reported a trader from the city.
“Pig Iron prices in Orissa are stable after Neelanchal Ispat (Cuttack) kept its prices unchanged. Prices have been trading in range of 25,500 -26,300/t from sometime due to which demand has been normal. Prices are also in pressure because of the liquidity
crunch in market. Steel Grade Pig Iron at Jharsugda is trading at Rs 26,200/MT (Basic price), where as Rourkela remains at Rs 26,000/MT and Cuttack at Rs 25,500/MT (Ex-Works)” remarked a trader from Jharsuguda.
“Vizag trading volumes for Pig Iron is decent and prices are
anticipated to be stable. Steel Grade Pig Iron is being offered unchanged at Rs
24,900/MT (Basic price),” said a trader from Vizag.
As demand is decent, prices are expected not to rise.
