Raipur: Due to shortage of raw material, manufacturers are
unable to cut price, even if market situations result for the above. “We are not expecting
prices to reduce further but scarcely available labors, water supply issues and
weak demand may result in fall of prices”, said traders.
Rourkela: Manufacturers cut offers by Rs 200-300/MT after NINL
opened its prices lower for the month of June. Steel grade is being offered in the
range of Rs 26000/MT (Ex-Works). Where as, Pig Iron manufactured from
arc furnace is being offered at Rs 25,500/MT (Basic).
Hyderabad: Offers for foundry grade Pig Iron is standing at Rs
29,000-29,200/MT. Plants are operating at lower capacity as compared to last year.
Also, weak demand from automobiles and textile industry effect sales of Pig Iron.
Pig Iron Exports:
Nilanchal Ispat Nigam Limited (NINL): Is to export Steel Grade at $475 FOB, quantity of
31,500 tones to Southeast Asia from Paradeep Port, in the second week of this
month.
Chennai: Foundry Grade Pig Iron is heard to be exported at
$550 CFR South East Asian countries in containers, in the second week of
the current month.
There are not many inquiries for exports and realizations are not good. Infact, prices in domestic markets are better.
