Pig Iron producers in India lowered offers by Rs 200-300/MT over a week's time, as mentioned below on expectations of improved sales.
Durgapur (West Bengal) Rs 200/MT to Rs 23,800/MT (steel) and Rs 300/MT to Rs 27,200/MT (foundry), Rs 300/MT to Rs 27,500/MT (foundry) at Goa and to Rs 23,200/MT (steel) at Bokaro (ESL).
Whereas, offers by various other manufacturers witnessed no fluctuation.
NINL is to declare Jan 2013 Pig Iron prices on the 7th and 60,000 tons export tender price bid is to open on Jan 9.
RINL is to take a decision on 1,00,000 tons Pig Iron open tender in domestic market on Jan 7, which fetched bids at around Rs 21,000.
