Indian Pig iron export tender by largest trading house-MMTC, which got expired on 05 Jul’16, attracts 2 participants. The tender received highest bids around USD 240/MT, FoB East Coast according to market sources. Also, the tender may conclude soon.
MMTC had floated this tender on 14 Jun’16, which got expired on 05 Jul’16 and the delivery of the shipment is scheduled between 05 Aug’16 to 15 Aug’16.
Meanwhile, the company is also planning to issue another Pig iron export tender by the end of this month.
Last 15,000 MT Pig iron export tender got canceled
On 20th Jun’16, the company floated 15,000 MT Pig iron export tender, which got canceled.
According to market sources, the company received 3 participants for the tender namely Prime Carbon GmBH, Steelmont Trading Ltd and Shabro Metallic Pvt Ltd.
And, the bids received were in the range of USD 235-240/MT, FoB India East Coast. However, bids received were lower than expected.
Market participants blame lower bid prices, the reason behind the cancellation of the tender.
