Iron pellet market continues to remain stable because of falling Iron ore supply from Odisha, after the Apex Court ordered to stop operations at mines running under 2nd deemed renewal.
Indian Pellet prices have managed to remain at previous levels on low trade volumes. In spite of weak demand from Sponge iron manufacturers, Pellet manufacturers prefer to hold on their offers. With Iron ore supply deteriorating in Odisha, seems that Pellet prices should hold at current levels.
Current offers for Fe 64/63% Pellets are hovering in the range of INR 7,000-8,400/MT (USD 116-140/MT) on Ex-Works basis.
