Pellet manufacturers across India have kept Pellet prices on similar levels on the backdrop of limited buying from sponge iron producers.
Iron Pellet prices across India continue to remain stable this week. In Barbil, Pellet prices for Fe 63% are at INR 4,500/MT (loaded to wagons). Pellet makers are looking forward for reduction in prices of iron ore fines which might bring some relief to them.
“P-DRI prices have fallen by up to INR 1,400/MT in last one month in eastern India. Demand for pellets is not so encouraging and buying has fallen over falling prices of pellet sponge.”- shared a market participant.
Pellet prices in Central India are at INR 5,800-6,000/MT (basic).
In southern India, Pellet prices have fallen marginally by INR 100/MT. Prices for Fe 62.5% Pellets are at INR 5,400/MT (basic).
