Indian pellet manufacturers have raised their offers by Rs 200-300/MT on rising sponge iron prices and the recent hike in iron ore prices by NMDC.
” We have raised our offers to around Rs 9,750/MT (loaded to wagons) for 63% Fe pellets looking at good demand from sponge manufacturers. said a pellet manufacturers based in Barbil (Orissa).
Pellets offered by MSP steel based at Jharsugda is around Rs 9400/t for 63% Fe, ex-works.
Pellet prices at Raipur also move up by Rs 300-400/t w.e.f 1st April. 63% fe was quoted at Rs 10,800 (Incld VAT) by a big manufacturer based in Raipur confirmed sources.
” We are quoting Rs 8100-8300/t for 62% Fe pellets. Prices are constant as sponge market in Bellary is relatively dull on high power costs.” said a manufacturer based in Bellary (Karnataka).
