Pellet prices in eastern and central India have moved up by INR 100-200/MT W-o-W.
Eastern India pellet makers have raised offers looking at improvement in P-DRI prices. However, no noticeable increase in bookings have been seen yet. Barbil pellet offers are in the range of INR 3,200-3,300/MT (loaded to wagons).
In Jharsuguda and Durgapur pellet prices have gone up by INR 200/MT. P-DRI prices in eastern India have increased by INR 500-600/MT in a week’s time.
In Raipur pellet offers are in the range of INR 4,300-4,400/MT (basic). Market participants shared that some Raipur based sponge makers have procured pellets from Odisha. Landed cost of pellets from Odisha are around INR 4,100-4,200/MT.
Talking about western India, Jindal SAW pellet prices are at INR 4,200/MT (delivered Kandla) for Fe 63%. In southern India, pellet offers remain unchanged at INR 4,350-4,400/MT (basic).
