Indian pellet export shipments in Jun’20 fell by 14% to 1.78 mn t as against 2.07 mn t a month ago, according to data maintained with SteelMint. Preference towards iron ore fines over imported pellets, slowed down Chinese buying interest for pellets. Also the pellet inventory at Chinese ports depicted a rise from 6.6 mn t towards the beginning to 7.5 mn t towards the month end, as per SteelHome consultancy.
