Indian pellet export shipments drop 30% in Q2 FY’21

Pellet exports by India dropped by 30% q-o-q to 3.63 mn t in the second quarter of the current fiscal year. The same in the Q1 stood at 5.18 mn t, as per the vessel line up data of SteelMint. Higher domestic realizations in domestic market resulted in lower exports. Pellet exports in Sep’20 totaled 778,892 t, falling 34.3% m-o-m against 1.18 mn t in Aug’20.
