Indian mill scale exporters increased their purchase prices amid falling Rupee against the USD (currently 1 USD = Rs 61.50).Current prices are assessed to be in the range of Rs 5,400-5,500/MT on delivered to Vizag port basis.
Exporters confirm that rising iron ore prices have supported mill scale prices in the Chinese market, which has also witnessed an increment. Current offers are hovering at USD 122-123/MT on CFR China basis (in bulk shipment) and USD 115-117/MT in containers.
Recently an exporter based in eastern part of India has completed loading 30,000 tons of mill scale from Vizag port. According to sources, deal was executed at around USD 119/MT CFR China, few weeks back.
