Mill scale offers in Indian domestic market noticed some correction this week owing to low buying interest. Some of the major buyers have reduced their purchase price last week, which has forced suppliers to cut their offers.
Current offers for mill scale of grade 68/70 Fe are assessed at INR 1,400-1,500/MT ex works , which was trading at INR 1,600-1,700/MT in first week of July. (Prices excluding excise of 12.5%).
Mill scale is largely consumed by pellet and blast furnace mills. With falling pellet and Pig iron prices, mills had to cut their purchase price.
Offers for export market stable
Offers for export market remain stable . Current offers for 68/70 Fe are assessed at INR 2,100-2,200/MT, delivered to Kandla Port .
