An Indian state-owned mill has floated an export tender for 30,000 tonnes (t) of basic grade pig iron for end-Aug’21 shipments. Market sources informed SteelMint that the tender has been concluded at $510/t FoB. Indian pig iron exports rose sharply by 169% in FY’21 to 1.03 mn t. JSPL, JSW Steel, Vedanta and RINL were the key exporters.
