An eastern India based mill had floated 15,500 t slab (SS400/Q235 grade) export tender for end Feb’21 shipment. The tender expired early this week. The company has cancelled the tender, SteelMint gleaned from its trade channels. Decline in global HRC prices has turned buyers in SE Asia hesitant. Notably, last Indian slab export tender was concluded at around $605-610/t FoB in mid-Jan’21 for Indonesia.
