Indian Manganese Ore Import Fall by 21% in Aug’16

India’s Manganese ore import recorded at 101,473 MT during Aug’16, registered a downfall of 21% M-o-M. The nation imported around 128,883 MT during Jul’16. During Jan-Aug’16, the nation imported around 1,125,179 MT Manganese ore.
One of the major reason behind decline in import numbers is aggressive demand of Manganese Ore by China during August. Exporters preferred shipping Manganese Ore to China instead of India because comparatively China is a bigger market than India.

Import from South Africa decreases by 15% during Aug’16

India imported around 74,274 MT during August’16, registered a downfall of 15% M-o-M. Standalone South Africa accounts for around 70% of total import to India. India imported around 623,403 MT from South Africa during Jan-Aug’16.

Manganese Ore import from Australia increases by 37% M-o-M during Aug’16.

Import from Australia registered a growth of 37% M-o-M. India imported around 20,792 MT from Australia during Aug’16. Imports during Jan-Aug’16 were recorded to be around 281,358 MT.

Imports from Gabon decreases drastically by 82% during Aug’16.

India imported around 4,798 MT Manganese Ore from Gabon during Aug’16, registered a significant downfall of 82% M-o-M. During Jan-Aug’16, the country imported around 166,417 MT from Gabon.

•India imported around 1,036 MT of Manganese Ore (Mn: 30% or more but below 35%) during Aug’16. India imported 32,040 MT from Jan-Aug’16.

•India imported around 32,342 MT of Manganese Ore (Mn: 35% or more but below 40%) during Aug’16, registered a growth of 169% M-o-M. India imported 259,211 MT from Jan-Aug’16.

•India imported around 10,606 MT of Manganese Ore (Mn: 40% or more but below 44%) during Aug’16, registered a downfall of 77% M-o-M. India imported 157,711 MT from Jan-Aug’16.

•India imported around 3,800 MT of Manganese Ore (Mn: 44% or more but below 46%) during Aug’16, registered a downfall of 76% M-o-M. India imported 238,622 MT from Jan-Aug’16.

•India imported around 29,704 MT of Manganese Ore (Mn: 46% or more) during Aug’16, registered a growth of 8% M-o-M. India imported 346,585 MT from Jan-Aug’16.

•India imported around 23,985 MT of Manganese Ore (Other) during Aug’16 registered a downfall of 14% M-o-M. India imported 91,009 MT from Jan-Aug’16.
