Indian iron ore imports recorded nil in H1 FY’21

Indian iron ore imports continued to remain nil for the sixth consecutive month on high global prices and preference towards domestic iron ore & pellets. Imported South African lump price assessment increased to about $132/t, CNF Kandla in Sep’20 as against $125/t, CNF Kandla a month ago. The Indian imports for the fiscal year FY’20 were recorded at 1.21 mnt, down significantly by 90% y-o-y.
