V M Salgaocar to export 93,150 MT from Goa

Goa based iron ore miner and exporter- V M Salgaocar & Bro is up for iron ore export shipment. As per customs data vessel named “Illawara Fortune” is expected to arrive at Mormugao Port today (i.e. 24 Nov’15).

“Iron ore export vessel of V M Salgocar & Bro is expected to arrive at Mormugao Port today. Around 93,150 MT iron ore fines (Fe 57%) that the company had purchased from Goa e-auctions would be exported to China. One more iron ore export shipment to China is in pipeline and the vessel is likely to arrive at port next week”, quoted a trade source.

Currently, prices of Indian iron ore fines (Fe 57%) are assessed at USD 34/MT, CNF China.

V M Salgaocar has remained a major bidder in Goa iron ore e-auctions. The company has procured 410,740 MT iron ore in this fiscal ( till e-auctions held on 04 Nov’15) from Goa e-auctions. The purchased material comprises of fines (0.22 MnT), lump (0.06 MnT) and ROM (0.13 MnT).

NMDC to export 2nd vessel of 70,000 MT iron ore to South Korea

NMDC is on the track to export its 2nd iron ore export vessel in this fiscal. As per customs data, vessel named “Shi Dai 1” carrying 70,000 MT iron ore is expected to reach Vizag Port on 28 Nov’15. The material will be exported to South Korea.

Last, week the company had exported 77,000 MT high grade iron ore fines to South Korea via vessel named “MV Vishva Uday”.

NMDC exports iron ore under its long term trade agreement to Japanese & Korean mills.
